Opening the circle for this month’s dispatch.

Earlier this month, I found myself circling back to a crystal ashtray at the thrift store — one of those pieces you pick up, admire, and put down again because what would I even do with this? I tried to leave it behind, but that night I woke up with the unmistakable feeling that the piece wasn’t an ashtray at all. It was meant to be an offering bowl. So I went back, claimed it properly, and brought it home.

With the new moon on November 20 and the full moon approaching on December 4, we’re in the heart of the waxing phase — the part of the cycle where energy builds, intentions take root, and anything tied to growth, momentum, prosperity, or new beginnings is especially supported. Inspired by that energy, I created a money bowl for my altar, and I wanted to offer you the steps and components so you can craft one of your own if it calls to you. What we’ve been brewing in the cauldron…

The Parlour has been a slower, more intentional space this month — the kind of quiet creative stretch where the work sinks down into the roots instead of blooming on the surface. While the pace softened, the behind-the-scenes magic deepened. I spent most of November building out new pieces for the Mystic Salon and finally opened the first “secret room,” The Whispering Index. Have you found its secret location on our website yet? If you’ve been curious about the membership space, this is a beautiful time to step inside.

This month has also been a time of planning rather than pushing — outlining winter content, refining upcoming guest episodes, and dreaming what 2026 will look like for Blood Moon Radio. And because December 26 falls right at that liminal edge between seasons, I’ll be closing the year with something a little different: a special story episode instead of an interview, a quieter offering for those who want something reflective to end the year with.

How to Create Your Own Waxing-Moon Money Bowl

1. Cleanse Your Bowl

Use whatever method feels right to you:

• Smoke cleansing (herbs, incense)

• Sound (a bell, chime, or a simple clap)

• Saltwater wipe (for non-metal, non-porous materials)

• Moon water
  Take a moment to hold the bowl and set your intention clearly: you are preparing a vessel for growth and prosperity.

2. Choose Your Base Ingredients

These form the “bed” of the spell — the energetic soil your intention will grow in. Possible bases include:

• Rice (abundance, nourishment)

• Salt (protection, purity, steady foundations)

• Popcorn kernels (for an energetic pop of momentum — surprisingly effective and joyful)

• Dried beans or lentils (sustenance, long-term prosperity)

You can use one or a blend. Add with intention.

3. Add Prosperity Amplifiers

These represent wealth, opportunity, and movement. Use what you have; there’s no wrong combination.

• Coins (especially ones that appear “accidentally” — follow those nudges)

• Citrine

• Pyrite

• Green aventurine

• Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon (attraction, speed)

• Bay leaves (write your intentions on them: “steady income,” “aligned clients,” “financial clarity,” etc.)
